Woodworking Courses

Ciarán Ó Braonáin is a skilled woodworker who makes unique hand-crafted gun boxes and furniture to order from his workshop near Delamere Forest, Cheshire. For over 15 years he has been developing bespoke furniture and specialist carpentry for clients. Helping to keep the passion for handcrafted furniture alive, Ciarán also teaches a number of short courses for adults from his workshop.

“I have a real passion for creating and teaching woodwork and have over 20 years experience in education and tutoring in woodwork. If you have a passion or interest in handcrafted woodwork, my courses will give you the techniques necessary to bring your skills to life.”

Each course has been carefully designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to use and care for the tools required in handcrafting wood. Teaching follows your own pace and you will be given as much or as little help as you need. Once confident, the courses focus on the hand crafting of your own piece to take home. On the four day and six day courses, you will produce a fantastic piece of furniture that you can proudly say “I made that.” Whether you are a complete novice or an aspiring artisan, there is a course for you.
